The organizers, students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of the Tomáš Bata University in Zlín, decided to overcome all barriers and establish an open discussion about topics that are often neglected. Yes, this time it was about sex and intimacy!
Skrz Prsty and Erosstar have joined forces to educate young people about healthy sex. Not only the topic of consent and safe intimate intercourse was discussed in a playful way in an open discussion with illustrative examples.
The festival opened its doors to primary and secondary school pupils. And who became a guide on their journey of knowledge? None other than the charismatic moderator Lukáš Fritscher, who is also known as the online creator Lukefry.
The program offered a wide range of interesting and novel topics. It started with a focus on women's health and contraception, where not only women, but also men gained a deeper awareness of the menstrual cycle and the importance of its proper functioning. And it wasn't just contraception that was discussed.
The entire festival touched on intimate and sexual topics, which were presented by experts in the field. In order to provide a more detailed insight and obtain information about the festival, we approached Kateřina Hauptvogelová, who willingly gave us an interview.
Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Could you first tell us what your relationship is with the Skrz Prsty festival?
I have a very positive relationship with the Skrz Prsty festival. I believe that open discussion about taboo topics such as sex and intimacy is very important for our society. The festival provides a space for education and awareness in these areas, and this is extremely valuable.
What do you think are the biggest benefits of the Skrz Prsty festival?
The Skrz Prsty Festival has many benefits. Above all, it enables an open discussion about sexual topics. This promotes education, gaining new information and also a better understanding in the area of sexual and intimate life. The festival also offers a platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences between experts and the public.
Can you tell us how the festival focuses on sex and intimacy?
The festival focuses on sex and intimacy through various lectures, workshops and discussions. Within these activities, experts deal with various aspects of sexual life, such as health, contraception, female anatomy or even esoteric approaches. The aim is to provide visitors with comprehensive and objective information to help them better understand these topics.
What would you say to those who worry that such festivals may be too explicit or inappropriate?
I understand some people's concerns, but the Skrz Prsty festival tries to approach these topics responsibly and respect individual boundaries. Lectures and activities are led by experts who adhere to professional ethics and respect the different perspectives and experiences of the participants. The festival makes sure that all participants feel comfortable and safe, and is ready to respond to any questions or concerns from visitors.
What are your impressions of this year's 10th annual Skrz Prsty festival?
I have to say that this year's Skrz Prsty festival was really great. Zlín decided to deal with taboo topics and expel all inhibitions. Over 400 people participated in the various activities and discussions, which is a staggering number. I witnessed inspiring lectures, interesting workshops and very open debates. It's great to see how society has changed over the last ten years and how open communication about sex and intimacy is gradually gaining importance.
Could you just tell me in closing what you would say to people who are still afraid to talk about sex and intimate topics?
My message to those who are afraid to talk about sex and intimate topics is that open communication and sharing experiences can be liberating. It is an opportunity for personal growth and understanding of one's sexuality. When we talk openly about sex, we can overcome the stigma and taboos associated with these topics and create a space for mutual support and understanding.
Thank you for your inspiring thoughts and your time. We wish the Skrz Prsty festival much success in the future!
